... release that which no longer serves you!

Kristi's Blog

Reverend Kristi BorstMuch of what seems so real in this physical dimension is not the entire Truth of who we are and/or what we can do. Over the last decade, I have allowed myself to both explore and expand beyond the physical, mental and emotional boundaries I thought were rigidly in place in this "reality". What I found was an aspect of Self that I had forgotten was there. I offer these wonderings and wanderings as an invitation to see beyond "what meets the eye", MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and "why can't I?" in your life!

Read, ponder, explore the depths of yourself. Although our eyes focus outward, we are primarily here to see and change ourselves. If you want to go deeper in your healing and release more quickly, let's work together. These writings are not short ... but the world is full of insightful one-liners which haven't managed to fully communicate to and shift heart and soul. I remain ever hopeful ... Much love, Kristi

Eagle Messages ~ Don't be Deterred, Observe, Seize Your Opportunities

Yesterday I saw a small bird chasing a juvenile eagle. They passed directly overhead ... bird squawking and flapping violently as the eagle flew faster with little effort. This morning I saw a crow chasing an adult eagle. The eagle flew to and perched in a nearby pine tree, the crow landing somewhat higher on the same tree. The crow left after a few minutes. The eagle stayed, and stayed, and stayed. I wanted to watch him fly; I waited a long time. Eventually, he took off, flying approximately 200 feet to catch a fish in the water in front of me.

Messages began to come in for me/you/Us. As I pondered the small birds chasing the larger birds, I was reminded of life's distractions and how sometimes we can be steered off course without even realizing where we went astray. Small things, over which we ultimately have total control, can derail us. Why? Perhaps because we underestimate ourSelves. We believe they CAN DERAIL US so they do!
My mind shifted to a post I had seen on FB group just this past week: "Do you feel jobs are just here for distraction so we forget what we are really here for?" For many people, this is Truth. They do not realize their power. They do not recognize that every choice, even those without considering other choices, is made from our ultimate power of Free Choice. So, yes, for some people, jobs are a distraction and people get sucked into the "rat race" or "more is better" side trip.

I'm sure you've probably heard the expression "do the work you love and you'll never work a day in your life." I believe each of us has something unique we can offer to our world, something that is an expression of Self which brings joy not only to us but also to the collective. Take the time to find that thing. Leave your job behind and get compensated for expressing your joy/creativity/innovation/altruism/service.

Like the eagle who sat there in the tree for many, many minutes, we must take the time to look! The power of being the conscious observer of Self (conscious awareness) is an overlooked human power.  It's one of those treasures hidden from us in plain view. Until you look for your choices and options and opportunities, they might as well not exist.

Not getting waylaid by life's obstacles is a great message, but the scene spoke further!

The eagle turned the experience of being chased into one of power. He stood his ground, perched high in that tree. He was not affected by crow's stress/badgering. Perhaps the crow became frustrated that the eagle was non-responsive; he left. This happens in our lives, too. Once we reach the point at which external situations and factors do not ruffle our feathers, these things "magically" stop showing up in our lives!

Mr. Eagle perched, watched and ultimately waited for his opportunity to get back on course. Was that feeding his family and thereby feeding himself on many levels? Or was his concern totally self-centered on filling his own belly? Each of us must make the decision of our focus individually, but we make the world a better place when we include others in our goals.

Look at the things you feel are taking you away from (1) your peace, (2) your goals, (3) your service to others, (4) yourSelf! Take time to look. Perch for a moment. Ponder. Wait for opportunities. Ultimately see that you are POWERFUL when you are aware ... and the only thing that may squelch your potential to succeed is YOU! When you are looking behind you or projecting your focus into the future, you may miss what's right here ...THE PRESENT.

Seize your power to be all you are here to be! Watch for messages along your path that gently try to get you back in touch with your power. If you need help seeing within and/or afar, call on me for a reading or healing session.

Love,
Kristi
