When I started my holistic energy healing practice in 2013, I was amazed by the almost literal connection between our perspectives on life and the physical ailments in our bodies.
Today, it makes perfect sense!
Louise Hay was a forerunner in identifying and documenting these parallels. Her book “How to Heal Your Body” is on my suggested client resources list.
As Above, So Below:
Here on Earth and perhaps throughout our universe, energy always precedes physical creation! Someone gets an idea for a new product or structure, they create a plan, they find resources for manufacture or fabrication, and a product or structure is born.
Similarly, within our bodies, there is an interplay of mind-spirit-emotions that impacts the physical body. Illness is not “all in our heads,” but our thoughts and emotions DO affect our bodies.
I have witnessed how our beliefs, attitudes, and even the way we talk to ourselves can affect and hinder the body’s innate healing intelligence. Fortunately, healing is nearly always possible!
Was Blind but Now I See:
I am going to use myself as a case in point. I was born with the ability to heal myself and others. I demonstrated these healing abilities at age three and was told to “never do that again.” I was such a “good girl” that I hid this part of myself, even from me!
For decades, I did not fully see myself. I was lost, almost blinded to who I am at my core. Not surprisingly, I developed cataracts in both eyes, requiring surgery at the very young age of 45!
A cataract is a cloud-like layer that forms on the lens of the eye, eventually obscuring one’s eyesight. Despite the early onset of this disease, I wrote the condition off to heredity.
Rooting Out the Dis-Ease:
What is the body telling someone with an autoimmune disorder, when the body is attacking itself in some way? Thought precedes the physical, so look within for the inner architect of this dis-ease.
Become a neutral observer. It is in this position of neutrality and observation that we more clearly see our opportunities to change! Perhaps the negative words you speak and self-doubt are inherited? Perhaps, like me, you have been playing a game of hide-and-seek with yourself?
Once we see these narratives as “old stories” or even another’s pain unconsciously transferred onto us, we can choose to disengage or create a better environment in which to thrive! Release any blame and affiliation with the title of “victim” and move forward. Empower your healing by empowering yourself!
See(ze) Your Power:
If you are very ill, you may actually be a powerful creator. Begin consciously creating what you DO WANT for yourself, your body, your life. I see you and believe in you!
Rather than trying on, accepting, or owning anything we don’t want, we can see(ze) our power and rewrite our story. In doing so, we have the potential to heal not only ourselves but also all of the wounded ones preceding us in our lineage!
Take ownership of your creations, your miscreations, and your power!
Flip the Script:
Maybe you’ve never really noticed how harsh you are with yourself? Or perhaps you never saw this way of being as a choice? Perhaps you have never stepped into full ownership of your body? Maybe you live your life in constant fear of some undesired future outcome?
Use the dis-ease you’ve observed within to create positive affirmations. E.g., “Nobody will ever love me,” “I cannot do anything right,” “I feel so lost,” can transition to “I love myself. I am here for a Purpose. I am enough. Right here and now, I am choosing to BE powerful.”
If you have trouble owning the positive affirmations, you can add “I am learning to” or “my body wants to know that …”
As I write this article, this quote came up on my Facebook memories from several years ago, embrace it:
“If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive.” – Betty J Eadie, near-death experience author of Embraced by the Light.
All You Have to DO is BE!
For many of us, being has become entangled in doing, achieving, proving. Let that pressure go! Imagine you are here to bring a special note to our symphony of life with your voice, your smile, your laughter, your assistance to another.
Hiding doesn’t serve any one of us! Negative talk is not only toxic for the body but it also self-sabotages who you’re here to BE!
The good news is you knew how to do that as a very young child. You just need to free that part of yourself from the boxes of self-limitation and filters of “you should,” “you can’t,” “don’t,” “you’ll never,” that you’ve consciously and unconsciously owned.
Mind-Body Healing:
Release illusion and come out of hiding! Our bodies are incredible, and they are designed to be self-healing in an environment of good nutrition, balanced emotions, and our true countenance of love.
Be aware, compassionate, and forgiving. With each new moment, we are a new being with additional insights and life hacks! As you shift the inner environment, healing can sometimes seem miraculous.
I Am Here for You!
I have shared that for many years I was disconnected from my power and true self. I believe “being lost” is not uncommon. Many of us struggle in this way.
I found my way back and now help others see what’s “hidden in plain view.” Inner child wellness and emotional healing are part of my natural abilities.
